Who We Are
Keya Lea Horiuchi has a diverse professional background that includes filmmaking, web design and education. She made one short documentary that was screened at over a dozen film festivals. In her second and latest documentary project, Considering Democracy, she traveled around the world by herself and directed, produced, shot, edited, and narrated the film, then drove (over 17,000 miles) across the U.S. and screen the film before the 2008 elections. Here’s a link to the screening tour map. She can successfully implement and finish projects. She has lived and worked as a teacher, in varied places, from New York City to the Navajo Reservation. She’s persistent, and can find work-arounds that are solutions when coming across difficulties. She has traveled to Kathmandu and knows her way around. Here is her Resume (2 pages pdf). More information about the crew will be posted shortly.
